Biography Jason Halprin is a Chicago based media artist and teacher who works in film, video, and installations. Originally from Southern Colorado, he graduated from the University of Colorado with a BFA in Film Studies and a BA in History, and earned an MFA in Film Production from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His film and video work has screened at the Austrian Film Museum, the Media City International Film and Video Festival (Windsor), the Milwaukee International Film Festival, The Images Festival (Toronto), The International Experimental Cinema Exposition, the Portland Documentary and Experimental Film Festival (PDX), the Detroit Film Center, the Chicago Underground Film Festival, and various other venues in the United States and Internationally. Alongside his professional and artistic pursuits, Halprin is an avid soccer player, baker, hiker, and student of human behavior. |
